Absolute obligation on your Dubai vacation: a trip on the Orient Express. The legendary relic of past times is actually a long traffic-not needed anymore, but still goes for tourists. The Express passes along a route in a number of attractions that you should not miss if you do not want to use the train. The starting point is, of course, Dubai. First you pass through the oasis of Al Dhaid with their vegetables and fruit plantations. Then we continue to the mountain village Masafi in the Hajar Mountains and Dibba palm oasis. Next, you will see the bay Khor Fakkan and the same name and a short time later, Fujairah, where you can visit an old fort. After that is another oasis, this time with an ancient Citadel, and then eventually Masafi’s turn. In the mountain village, you will pay a visit to the impressive Friday market until you are finally heading out again on the return journey to Dubai. In the Emirates, there are a lot of sights that are worth their name and really are worth visiting. The only Dhow yard in Dubai should be mentioned as well, where you can witness the traditional and unchanged Arab ships.
